So I’ve had it in the works for a while now to get an online storefront up and running to sell the work I consider worth releasing as fine art. After some work, this section of this website is now up and running.
I’m starting with just one piece as I intend to give each selection a moment in the light to showcase it as something special that tells a story relating to our humanity, as something that I find makes some kind of artistic statement, or as something I simply find beautiful in this world we’re a part of.
That said, the first piece I’m releasing is “Puddle Navigation”, shown below. It was photographed in June of 2010 at Charlotte Beach in Rochester, NY following a family portrait session. I continued to photograph as we were heading back to our cars wrapping things up and this was really just a beautiful moment captured with a father guiding his daughter through a puddle. To me, the work speaks to our humanity within a concept of growing up (with help from parents) and experiencing the smaller things in life (a puddle) as a child. Many of us as adults don’t take the time to notice or experience what a puddle does, for example, as our feet create ripples in the water.
At any rate, the Fine Art Storefront section of the site is now available here and I do plan on adding work slowly at the rate of roughly one piece a month…
